In Pokemon Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, and SoulSilver versions, there is a feature known as the Global Trade Station. It can be used to trade Pokemon from one game to another, using the internet. Here is a guide to trading Pokemon on the GTS.

1. Ignore any Pokemon that is up for trade for a legendary, i.e. Shaymin, Darkrai, Mew, Celebi, etc.

2. Ignore any Pokemon that is up for trade for a level 100, unless it is level 100.

3. Post your Pokemon for reasonable trades, like Flareon for Jolteon, Hoothoot for Pidgey.

4. Ignore any Pokemon that is up for trade for the starters, unless you have bred them.

5. Get a Ditto, to breed your Pokemon for trading.

6. Ignore Pokemon that are up for trade for underleveled Pokemon, i.e. lvl 1 Bulbasaur for lvl 9 and under Kingler

7. Ignore Pokemon that are of the wrong sprite, i.e. a Dragonite with a Seedot's sprite (this actually happened!)

8. Get a Ditto.

9. Get a Ditto.

10. Trade for other language Pokemon.
